The morning after the wedding ― Sunday, March 26 ― we will be be holding an informal bike ride for brunch! Here are the details:

The Ride to Brunch

2.5 miles / 15 minutes each way

  • 11:00 AM: Meet at Reedy Rides (50 Richardson St.)
    • Reedy Rides is very close to the wedding venue.
    • Either bring your own bike, or you may rent a bike / e-bike there (we will provide a group discount code soon!).
  • 11:15 AM – 11:30 AM: Bike to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe
    • Ride on the Swamp Rabbit Trail to the Cafe (2.5 miles).
  • 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM Brunch
    • Eat, chat, shop, etc.
  • 12:30 PM – 12:45 PM Bike back (or keep on riding!)
    • After brunch, you may choose to keep riding on the trail to the beautiful Furman University (another 4.3 miles). Keep reading below to see what lies ahead on the trail:
It's a short bike ride to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe.

For the Adventurous Bunch

The trail doesn't end at the Cafe, of course. If you're looking for a longer ride, here are some destinations further along the trail that we recommend:

Furman University (6.8 miles / 37 minutes)

Furman University is absolutely gorgeous and is right on the SRT.
It's a bit of a longer ride to Furman, though you can get there in under 40 minutes (25 with an e-bike).

Travelers Rest (11 miles / 1 hour)

The SRT goes right through TR's main street.
It takes about an hour (40 minutes on an e-bike) to go to TR.
