Falls Park

The gem of downtown Greenville, Falls Park on the Reedy is a must-see during your visit to Greenville. Gaze at the exposed roots of the Medusa Tree, walk across the Liberty Bridge, or grab a bench for a waterfall view.
Pro Tip: Nearby Spill the Beans has great coffee and ice cream.

Swamp Rabbit Trail

Walk or bike this 22-mile paved path that runs through downtown Greenville and through the woods along an old railway all the way to Travelers Rest.
Pro Tip: Stop at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe for local goods or a coffee + don't forget your free loaf of Stecca bread! (for all first-time customers)

Unity Park

Opened in May 2022, this new park along the Swamp Rabbit Trail has a large playground, basketball half-courts + open fields for soccer or lounging in your hammock.
Pro Tip: Stop at The Commons for a coffee from Greenville's own Methodical Coffee or tacos from Automatic Taco. Or try Southernside Brewing for burgers and beer.

Furman University

Furman is about a 37 minute bike ride on the SRT from downtown Greenville.

Connected to the Swamp Rabbit Trail, Furman has a paved walking and biking path around a pond on its scenic campus set against the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Hotspots

The hoppin' areas to check out in Greenville.

Main Street

Be sure to stroll up and down Greenville's tree-lined Main Street to see unique architecture, browse local shops like M. Judson bookstore and Mast General Store, dine at local restaurants, or grab a coffee, cocktail, or craft beer.

  • You can't miss Falls Park! (see above)

The West End

A less busy section of Main Street, The West End is perfect for a quieter downtown stroll. Plus, it's home to some of our favorites, like Bex Cafe & Juice Bar, Purple Sushi, and Old Europe Coffee and Desserts.

Swamp Rabbit Cafe & Grocery

The Cafe, as we like to call it, is one of our all-time Greenville favorites and is a popular spot for families (there is a fenced-in play area) and for cyclists stopping off the Swamp Rabbit Trail. We love hopping on our bikes from our downtown apartment and biking the 2 miles to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe to shop sustainable local groceries, grab a coffee or sandwich, or just hang out.

Camperdown Plaza

Opened in 2021, Camperdown Plaza is another great place to hang out and grab ice cream from the renowned Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams, or splurge on a fine dining meal or fancy cocktail at CAMP Modern Eatery.

Travelers Rest

Located about a 20-minute drive or 1-hour bike ride from downtown Greenville, TR is a small town on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains with its own unique flair and charm. We love Trubroth Coffee & Vietnamese Cuisine, Tandem Crêperie, and Topsoil Restaurant.

The Village of West Greenville

This area of Greenville is reminiscent of a small town and is experiencing rapid revitalization. It's a bit further than the rest of downtown, but is home to some of our favorites, like Bar Margaret and The Village Grind.
