Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)

We recommend flying into the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), which is located about 30 minutes from downtown Greenville. There are short connecting flights to GSP available from Atlanta and Charlotte, and those airports connect to all the major US airports. GSP is a small, but nice airport that is typically hassle-free.
Transportation to and from the airport
Check with your hotel to see if a shuttle service is available. If not, we recommend taking an Uber or Lyft between the airport and downtown Greenville (we have done this several times). There are plenty of Uber and Lyft drivers in the downtown area, and there are typically some waiting outside the airport as well. Even if there isn't a driver waiting outside the airport, you can order a car to come from elsewhere to pick you up. You can also pre-order a ride when your plane lands so there is a car waiting for you once you exit the airport.
Regional Travel

For our out-of-town guests looking to make a trip out of our wedding, we highly recommend spending time in Greenville (check out the Greenville tab!) and Asheville, NC (~1 hour by car from Greenville).
Asheville is an artsy city with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Think Greenville's wackier, hippie-er younger sibling. The city is full of microbreweries, great food, funky shops, and walkable streets. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway (a scenic mountain drive) and lots of stunning hiking opportunities. If we didn't live in Greenville, we'd probably call Asheville home.
If you have more time, we recommend visiting Charleston (~4 hours by car from Greenville), a historic port city on the South Carolina coast complete with cobblestone streets, multicolored townhomes, pristine beaches, and lots of seafood.
Savannah, GA (~5 hours by car from Greenville) is another great stop. It is similar to Charleston, but smaller and quieter, with its own historic cobblestone streets and up-and-coming food scene.
And of course, there is Pawleys Island (~5 hours by car from Greenville), Bennett's hometown. Pawleys is a small coastal town off the beaten path of most tourists. We love kayaking in the river, walking on the island, and visiting the tranquil beaches.
